Compassionate, Individualized ABA Services Supporting Children with Autism and Their Families
Founded by parents of children diagnosed with autism, Spectrum was created with a deep understanding of the unique journey each family experiences. Our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized care that recognizes every child’s strengths, needs, and potential. Through positive engagement, an assent-based approach, and Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBI), we strive to create meaningful, life-changing progress by fostering communication, independence, social connections, and developmental growth in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Spectrum provides ABA services to help your child build meaningful skills, increasing independence, and improving quality of life for both children and their families in a compassionate and individualized manner.
Skills We Help Children Build for Life
ABA is an evidence-based approach to intervention for children with Autism, used to teach them meaningful skills and independence across many developmental domains.
Communication & Language: We teach our clients how to functionally communicate through vocalizations or through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices (e.g. picture boards, speech apps, speech devices, etc.), resulting in a reduction of frustration and challenging behaviors that might present themselves - due to communication barriers.
Play and Leisure Skills: We take a playful approach to therapeutic services, as it is a naturalistic environment for children - especially our early learners. We teach our clients purposeful play and play skills such as sharing.
Behavior Support & Replacement Skills: We identify the function of behaviors (what a person is trying to achieve by engaging in the behavior), and teach children alternate behaviors that meet the child’s need.
Learning & School Readiness: We build attention, memory, pre-school readiness, academic skills, and routines to help children succeed in school and beyond!
Daily Living & Self-Help Skills: We teach independence in every day tasks such as dressing, grooming, hygiene, cleaning, and more.
Motor Skills: We develop both fine and gross motor skills, to improve coordination, strength, and everyday functioning.
Safety & community skills: we teach safety awareness, independence in the community, and how to navigate daily routines in real-world settings.
Social Interaction skills: We support children in building meaningful relationships, taking turns, understanding social cues from others, engaging positively with others.
Toilet Training: We use positive, individualized strategies to help children become successful and confident in the bathroom.
Emotional Regulation: We help children recognize and manage their emotions, calm their bodies, and build healthy coping skills.
